Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. She spent the majority of her early years listening to classic music Boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music along with older classical songs. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense vocal instruction. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She has been involved with a number of local organizations in both teaching and performer, because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana has also been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
