Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). In her early years, she went to at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was only six when she made the decision to pursue a career as an actress. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting and singing. In a school play and the stage of a Stagecoach Production, Emma took her role as lead actress at 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight consecutive auditions. Emma's first appearance in a film was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It set records on opening day and weekend revenues, and was the most-recorded 2001 movie. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, and especially the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma's performance received nominations and later won awards in the film.
